This Friday night the 14th of October at 7pm, KSA is holding another Safety Night at the Grange Sailing Club!
This is a unique opportunity to have a discussion with like-minded kiteboarders about any safety concerns or experiences you've had. We encourage newcomers to the sport as well as old hacks to come along, share you experiences and get a feel for what others might do in those situations. Maybe you've had a scare and want to stop it from happening again. Maybe you've just lost a bit of sleep over something you think could happen. Or maybe you've been around the traps for years and would like to impart some of your wisdom on fresh ears.
After last year’s success, we will run a general info session together with an unofficial CPR awareness session. We'll cover some info on how to help out your fellow kiters when they get in trouble. No matter how long you have been kiting, there is always something new to learn or someone new to meet.
As always, it’s an open format, so we encourage new-comers to ask questions and experienced kiters to share their knowledge, So bring your, friends, family, kites and appetite cause it will be a fun sesh! This is a great chance to meet local crew and share the stoke of our awesome sport!
please RSVP at
KSA will be putting on Pizzas again and both KSA Members and Non-Members are encouraged to get along!
Happy riding, spread the word, and see you there!
the KSA committee
The KSA AGM is on again tonight, 7PM at the Grange sailing club!
KSA will put on the pizzas for members (5$ for non members), the bar will have plenty of cold drinks at 1950 prizes, and we promise to keep the boring stuff to a minimum. It will be a great night to catch up with everyone after this cold winter!
It is an important night for KSA, as it's when the new committee is voted in. If you think you would like to be a part of the committee, put your hand up. We meet once a month at the Grange Sailing Club (typically the first Monday of each month) for an hour or so.
KSA would like to see as many people there as possible, so let your mates know.
If you've got any mates who are new to the sport or who are thinking of giving it a go, bring 'em along! Heck, bring your family, bring your mates and we will see you at the AGM!
With the days getting shorter and the temperature slowly dropping, the wave riding season is around the corner! We at KSA are getting super keen to swap the twinnies for surfboards, and chase the long awaited winter Northerlies and winter swells :)
With that in mind KSA is excited to announce the 2016 State Wave Titles, which will be held on 10/7/2016 at Moana on the mid coast.
As always, you don’t have to be going for the title to enter. KSA’s emphasis is on participation and having all riders out on the water enjoying themselves throughout the weekend. You never know, you might just walk away with a sick trophy or prize for just being there, getting involved, and giving it a shot. It’s all about sharing the stoke!
